The NCCCAE hosted its pilot course, the NCCCAE Building Knowledge Course, at the end of September. A diverse group of thirteen students gathered to explore the principles underpinning holistic approaches to sustainable living, traditional design and community, and geometry as expressed in nature and built form. It was a powerful and enriching experience for both students and instructors alike. The course was highlighted in a feature article in The Flin Flon Reminder.
As an extension of the course, the community at large was invited to attend a public lecture series held throughout the week, where the visiting instructors shared their knowledge, research and approaches with guests.
Below are photos from the week-long course, taken by Hilary McDonald, archeological photographer and an instructor with the NCCCAE Building Knowledge course.
